How much snow accumulation is expected in New York and New Jersey?
NEW YORK (PIX11) – Snow could be heading to New York and New Jersey on Thursday.
Flurries will possibly start around noon mainly north and west of New York City. Snowflakes may continue falling through 7 p.m.
Little to no accumulation is expected with this storm system. Some areas may get less than an inch of snow, while eastern Long Island could get an inch, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow comes as the tri-state area stays stuck in a cold snap. Temperatures will be below average, with a high of 32 in the city and low to mid-30s in the suburbs.
The next chance for snow will be the weekend.
