Albany Academy rolls past La Salle 88-53
TROY, NY (NEWS10) -- Two of the best teams our area has to offer in Class AA squared off Wednesday night. 11-2 Albany Academy, the top-ranked team in the state, paid a visit to 6-2 La Salle.
Academy built an early first quarter lead, before La Salle made a run to knot it up at 11. Academy retook the lead, taking a 17-13 advantage into the second quarter.
Academy separated in the second quarter, building a 39-23 lead before halftime. They ran away with it from there, on their way to an 88-53 win.
Jack Louridas led all scorers with 25 points for Academy. Davon Maloney tallied 23 points for La Salle.
