Lots of sun and warmer temperatures to help melt snow today

A west-southwest wind at 5-15 mph this morning has kept temperatures much warmer. Lows have dropped into the upper 20s and lower 30s, a much more pleasant start. The sky is mostly clear.
The tail end of the week looks to be our best shot at melting much of the deep snowpack. Highs will climb into the lower to middle 40s, possibly warmer south where snow will be first to melt away.
However, another blast of cold air is on the way for next weekend. We'll watch the frontal boundary as it drops into the area on Saturday. Right now, it looks like much of the area will stay dry as the front passes. After the front moves through, some very cold air arrives for Sunday and early next week.
