12 Naxalites gunned down by security forces in Chhattisgarh; January toll rises to 26

On Thursday, security forces in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district killed as many as 12 Naxalites in a fierce encounter that began at 9 am and lasted till late in the evening. Various state police units and CRPF battalions were involved. No harm reported to security personnel.
