Disney+ viewers brand hit show ‘perfection’ – as it returns seven years after being axed by Netflix
DISNEY+ viewers have declared an upcoming show ‘perfection’ – as it returns seven years on from being axed.
Daredevil initially aired on Netflix from 2015 to 2018, spanning three seasons.
It starred Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, a blind New York lawyer with superhuman senses.
A revival, Daredevil: Born Again, will be debuting from March 4 on Disney+.
Fans have now seen the first trailer – and it’s fair to say they were left impressed.
One wrote: “This looks absolutely amazing and what’s most important – feels like a Season 4, which is great.”
Another commented: “‘THEY COOKED AND THEY COOKED IT TO PERFECTION.”
A third penned: “It’s everything that I imagined, and yet more.”
While a fourth chimed in: “This looks absolutely brutally amazing.”
The revival sees Charlie, 42, reprise his role as Daredevil – in his seventh project as the character.
Other returning characters include Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Franklin “Foggy” Nelson (Elden Hensen) and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal).
Meanwhile, the trailer also shows a conversation between Daredevil and crime lord Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio).
Last year, the revival made a U-turn on recasting a returning character.
Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer brought Kingpin’s wife, Vanessa, to life in the Netflix iteration.
When the series shifted to Disney+, Ayelet was initially replaced in the role.
It had been announced Vanessa was recast with House of Cards actor Sandrine Holt.
However, an image from the set of Daredevil: Born Again revealed Ayelet’s return.
Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ on March 4.
