Arrest made in fatal north Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A Columbus man is facing a murder charge in connection with a fatal shooting in November. 

Devon R. Ford, 26, was arrested by Columbus police Wednesday for allegedly shooting two people on Nov. 9 near Fitzroy Drive and Walford Street on the north side of Columbus. Watch a report on the shooting in the video player above. 

According to police, officers responded to the area at approximately 8:21 a.m. for a report of a shooting. At the scene, they found Abdulrahman Mohamed, 40, and one other victim suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Mohamed was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:27 a.m., while the second victim was hospitalized in critical condition. 

A warrant for Ford’s arrest was issued the same day as the shooting. He is being held in Franklin County Jail and scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court on a murder charge Thursday.
