Drug raid lands Lafayette man in jail
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - A Lafayette Parish man is under arrest as a result of an investigation by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section.
Lafayette Parish Narcotics team and the Broussard Police Department raided a home in the 200 block of Leon Street Wednesday Morning.
Agents found approximately 1.6 pounds of Cocaine, 3.3 pounds of Marijuana, more than $8,000 in cash.
James Johnson, 45, was arrested and charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substances, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substances, Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances in a School Zone.
Johnson was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. o
