Portland Winterhawks prep for fifth annual Pride Night

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The Portland Winterhawks are celebrating Pride on Friday, January 24, during their fifth-annual Pride Night game.

Members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community will be celebrated during the Winterhawks' game against the Tri-City Americans. The celebration is courtesy of the You Can Play project partnering with the Winterhawks this year.

"Pride Night is an opportunity for Winterhawks players, staff, and fans to promote an inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ people in our sport on and off the ice," stated the team on their website.
