India to cross 900 million internet users this year: IAMAI report

India is set to have over 900 million internet users by 2025, with a majority from rural areas, according to the IAMAI and Kantar report. Despite a slowing growth rate, rural regions now account for 55% of users. OTT streaming apps are the top activity, with digital commerce and payments also seeing significant rural participation.
