Israel, Hamas agree to ceasefire and hostage release deal

After more than 15 months of war, Israel and Hamas have agreed to a deal to end the fighting in Gaza, free almost 100 hostages still held by Hamas and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in Israel. President Biden said the agreement will take effect on Sunday and would be carried out in three phases, with Hamas releasing 33 hostages in the first phase.
