Conor McGregor has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a private bathroom after an NBA finals game in 2023.

The woman, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday, and alleges that McGregor sexually assaulted her at the Kasaya Center in 2023.

It allegedly happened after the Miami Heat’s NBA Finals game against the Denver Nuggets on June 9.

The woman is described as a 49-year-old who works on Wall Street and said security guards blocked her friend from entering the bathroom to help.

This civil suit stems from the same criminal sexual assault allegation filed against McGregor in June 2023.

The report was filed with the city of Miami’s police department on June 11, 2023, at 6pm, less than 48 hours after the alleged sexual assault happened.

Florida’s State Atorney Office declined to go forward with charges with the alleged assault in October 2023.

Barbara Llanes, McGregor’s attorney, released a statement to ESPN which says: ‘After a thorough investigation at the time, the State’s Attorney concluded that there was no case to pursue.

‘Almost two years and at least three lawyers later the plaintiff has a new false story. We are confident that this case too will be dismissed.’

McGregor has denied the allegations.

The lawsuit seeks medical treatment costs, compensatory damages and other relief from the Heat and McGregor.

The woman’s attorney, Jim Dunn, said she is pursuing the civil case to ‘raise awareness and encourage others to report sexual assault’.

He said: ‘My client has thought long and hard about the decision to pursue this civil case, and is fearful of the effect it may have on her job on Wall Street.

‘Nonetheless, her main goal in filing this suit is to raise awareness and encourage others to report sexual assault.’

The lawsuit also mentions an earlier incident when McGregor twice punched the Heat mascot, ‘Burnie.’

The man was sent to hospital and it is alleged that the mascot’s injuries were known to arena staff but not the general public.

This case comes two months after McGregor was found liable of assaulting Nikita Hand in a Dublin hotel in 2018 – with a jury awarding her £200,000 in damages.
