8 dead in Tanzania from Marburg virus, often spread by fruit bats

GENEVA: A suspected outbreak of the Marburg virus in Tanzania has infected nine people, killing eight of them, the World Health Organisation said, a month after neighbouring Rwanda was declared free of the highly lethal contagion, German news agency dpa reported.
