Why a Royal Expert Doesn’t Expect To See Prince George, Princess Charlotte, & Prince Louis More Than Four Times in 2025

0

If you’ve been following along, you know we love, love, love the royal children. We love any chance to see Prince Louis, 6 and his infamous antics, we love Princess Charlotte, 9 and her perfect side eye, and we love how we can already see a future king in 11-year-old Prince George.

But it turns out we might see a whole lot less of them in 2025.

Royal biographer Robert Hardman told Marie Claire he doesn’t expect the royal kids to be quite as visible. “I don’t think we’re going to see them in any way being shunted into the public eye more than is reasonably expected,” he reportedly said.

In fact, he only suspects we’ll see Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s kids about four times this year.

There might be an appearance for Easter in April, one for the King’s birthday parade (AKA Trooping the Colour) in June, and another at the Together at Christmas Carol Service in December. Surprisingly, he did not include the family’s Christmas morning walk to Sandringham Church in that list. He also speculated that a VE Day (commemorating the end of World War II) appearance in May “might also be in the cards.”

“I think there’s definitely a view that … we the public should not expect to see them any more than sort of official royal family gatherings,” he explained.

If that is the case, it would be a surprising change from recent years when the royal kiddos were seen a lot at non-royal outings. The kids were spotted at soccer games, at Wimbledon, and at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London.

After a supposed Easter appearance, royal author Ingrid Seward is guessing George, Charlotte, and Louis can expect at least one extravagant vacation.

“Kate will be wanting to spoil them a bit because it’s very frightening for children when their parents are that ill, so I think they will be up for a few treats this year,” she said, per Hello!, referencing the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis in 2024. “I think William and Kate might take the children skiing during the Easter holidays and will probably be planning a big summer holiday, because as far as we know they didn’t go anywhere last year.”

OK, so even if we the public don’t see the young royals much this year, it’s nice to hear they won’t be holed up. They’ll hopefully get the chance to have some fun and relaxing family time, and we have no doubt Prince William and Kate Middleton will pull a Princess Diana and keep the photographers away from their kids during what should be a private and peaceful time.
