Charlotte Crosby says fiance Jake was ‘devastated’ after baby’s gender reveal as star admits ‘he wanted a boy so badly’
CHARLOTTE Crosby has admitted her fiancé Jake Ankers was “devastated” after discovering he was having another daughter.
The pregnant star and Jake discovered the gender of their second child on a sun-kissed trip to the Maldives.
Canons had puffed pink smoke into the air to signal a girl and, although Charlotte cried with happiness, Jake was not impressed, as he wanted a boy.
The businessman was also snapped with his hand on his forehead and his mouth open after cutting into a pink cake, before writing on Instagram: “Ahhh s**t, here we go again!”
Charlotte insists Jake has now “come round to the idea”, but the initial surprise did not go down well with her fella.
Speaking to The Mirror, Charlotte, 34, admitted: “He wanted a boy so bad.
“I don’t want to ruin his reaction because it was a big one, but we’re filming a TV show at the minute and we filmed the whole gender reveal, so I don’t want to give too much away, but he was devastated.”
She added: “Now, he’s come round to the idea, so it’s all good.”
Charlotte and Jake are already parents to two-year-old daughter Alba Jean.
Charlotte announced her pregnancy with baby number two in September, telling fans online: “In my babies and business ERA delighted to announce baby Ankers number 2 is due January 2025 and also delighted to announce @peppergirlsclub AW collection is live now RIGHT NOW!!!!
“I really wanted to combine these 2 moments as everything I’ve been building with Pepper over the last few years is for my family and im so proud of it!! We are so excited to be a family of 4!”
Fans weren’t surprised, as Charlotte had previously told her followers that she and Jake were ‘trying for a second baby’ earlier in the year.
During a trip to Spain, she said: “Special time just us two. Trying to make baby number 2.”
Charlotte’s due date is now approaching fast and this weekend she enjoyed a lavish baby shower.
The Geordie Shore star showed off her bump in a green mini dress and spent the afternoon surrounded by her family and friends.
But despite the fact she’s about to welcome her second baby, Charlotte has revealed she is not slowing down with work.
Last year, Charlotte flew to Australia with Jake and Alba after landing a special role on Paramount show Aussie Shore.
She was put in charge of her Aussie Shore counterparts after being given the job of ‘house boss’.

And although she is set to have her hands full with another little one, Charlotte has exclusively told The Sun she’ll be on the show for at least two more series’.
“Yes absolutely [I will be back on Aussie Shore], I think I’ve signed up for three series,” she told us.
“It’s set to be made for three series and more if it does well.”
Reflecting on how her job compares to her long-term stint in Geordie Shore, she added: “I loved it because I got to be involved and see everyone and have a great time, but not have to go through all the drama and just dip in here and there.”
Aussie Shore, which was the first version of the show Down Under, was described as “unapologetically wild, sexy and hilarious”.
Prior to it airing, Charlotte had warned: “If you thought us Geordies were wild, then you better brace yourselves as you’re about to have your minds blown.”
