All Lafayette flights to and from Dallas canceled due to winter storm
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Travelers expecting to fly between Dallas and Lafayette today will need to make other plans.
Due to a winter storm hitting Texas, all American Airlines flights between Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Lafayette Regional Airport have been canceled.
The airline had flights scheduled to leave Lafayette at 5:23 a.m., 10:55 a.m., 1:26 p.m., 4:10 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. Flights from Dallas to Lafayette were scheduled at 8:44 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:15 p.m., 4:25 p.m. and 9:36 p.m.
The National Weather Service says Dallas is experiencing snow and sleet today, with a high of 33 degrees. More snow and sleet are expected into the evening.
According to the American Airlines website, flights on Friday are still scheduled to depart on time as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
