Bill Joel, Rod Sewart to perform one-night-only show at Yankee Stadium.

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – For one night only, Rod Stewart and Billy Joel are coming to Yankee Stadium.

On July 18, the rock and roll greats will perform one concert together in the Bronx. Tickets will go on sale starting Jan. 17 at 10 a.m., with presale starting for Citi cardmembers on Jan. 13 at 10 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased on Yankee Stadium’s website, Ticketmaster or LiveNation’s website.

Both artists will perform “their most beloved songs” from throughout their career, according to representatives of Yankee Stadium.

For Joel, it’s a sweet return to a renovated Yankee Stadium after his famed 1990 concert at the original venue, “Billy Joel Live from Yankee Stadium.”

“It is also particularly fitting that Billy Joel, who was born in the Bronx and is so iconically identified with New York, will become the first musical act to headline a show at both the original Yankee Stadium and the current Yankee Stadium,” said Scott Krug, Senior Vice President of the Yankees.

Joel is performing across the U.S. leading up to the July show, including shows with Sting and Stevie Nicks. Stewart is also playing shows up through July, including a February show in Atlantic City.
