India saw a substantial growth in renewable energy in 2024, adding 24.5 GW of solar and 3.4 GW of wind capacity. Key contributors were utility-scale and rooftop solar, driven by the PM Surya Ghar scheme, as well as significant wind installations in Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
