Court orders real estate developer to refund Rs 2.4 crore, pay Rs 5.5 lakh penalty to buyer for delayed flat possession

Delhi State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ordered a real estate company to refund Rs 2.4 crore to a complainant for not delivering possession of flat units as promised. The company must also pay Rs five lakh for mental agony and Rs 50,000 for litigation costs. The developer failed to hand over the flat even after 11 years.
