Man wanted in El Salvador murder investigation arrested in Lakeway

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Wednesday, the Lakeway Police Department said it arrested a man wanted for murder by El Salvadorian authorities.

LPD said Luis Manuel Hernandez Bonilla was pulled over for a traffic violation Tuesday near the 2800 block of Ranch Road 620 South.

According to police, officers discovered Hernandez Bonilla was a reported gang member, as well as wanted in connection with a homicide in El Salvador.

LPD said Hernandez Bonilla was arrested without incident.
