KFC Debuts 7 New Meal Bowls for Just $5 Each

On Jan. 6, KFC unveiled five “flavor-packed” bowls to menus which cost just $5 each, but they’re only available for a limited time. Alongside the bowls, each of which is made with five of the chain’s Original Recipe Nuggets, KFC is reintroducing its beloved Nashville Hot Sauce, also for a limited time.

Some of the bowls are returning fan favorites, such as the iconic Famous Bowl—nuggets with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and a three-cheese blend—and the Mac & Cheese Bowl, which consists of five nuggets layered with creamy macaroni and cheese and the three-cheese blend. To celebrate the return of Nashville Hot Sauce, KFC is bringing back the Nashville Hot Famous Bowl and the Nashville Hot Mac & Cheese Bowl. Those dishes are the same as their traditional counterparts except for added Nashville Hot Sauce.

Perhaps most exciting of all, KFC is adding a brand-new bowl to menus. The Nashville Hot Loaded Fries Bowl offers fans “an unexpected flavor explosion.” It layers crispy French fries, coleslaw, and pickles on top of five Original Recipe Nuggets, all drizzled with Nashville Hot Sauce. You can also avail yourself of KFC’s Original Recipe Tenders slathered in Nashville Hot Sauce, while supplies last.

The above items are available in person at KFC restaurants as well as at KFC.com and in the KFC app. As a bonus for app and online users, the restaurant is debuting two online-exclusive bowls, as well. The Korean BBQ Mac & Cheese Bowl and the Korean BBQ Loaded Fries Bowl, also just $5 each, swap out the Nashville Hot Sauce for a Korean BBQ spread which balances sweet and savory flavors of umami with soy sauce, garlic, sugar, and sesame.
