Someone Check on Craig Conover
Legions of Bravolebrities and fans saw last month’s Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo breakup coming from miles away. Craig, sadly, was not one of them. Addressing the dumping for the first time, the Southern Charm star and pillow-maker posted several videos to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, confessing that he was “shocked” by the split, which he says took place “right before the holidays.” “This has all been very, very unexpected to say the least,” he added. “But I guess life has to … I gotta start living again, whatever that looks like, whatever my new normal looks like, I have to start.”
Oh, Craig. That the 36-year-old didn’t sense his impending breakup in the slightest is very sad news — and a little unbelievable, frankly. Viewers have watched Conover and DeSorbo’s relationship play out across three different Bravo shows (Southern Charm, Summer House, and Winter House) in as many years, and it was clear that the former duo were on different pages throughout. DeSorbo, for instance, refused to leave New York for Charleston, where Conover has been cleaning his pool, running a home-goods empire, and campaigning to be the male Martha Stewart. And whenever Conover brought up the prospect of an engagement, the Summer House star winced. Yikes.
“It’s okay,” Conover assured his followers. “It takes two people to be in a relationship, and you can’t control other people. You can only control how you react to it.”
So true, Craig! Wishing him lots of free time to sew and build his new wrapping corner in peace.
