Heartbroken Towie star Freddie Bentley reveals he’s split from boyfriend after catching him ‘cheating’ on holiday
TOWIE star Freddie Bentley has revealed that he’s split from his boyfriend after finding out he was “cheating” on holiday.
The heartbroken star, 27, said he discovered that his mystery fella was unfaithful to him while on a trip to Thailand.
It comes just a few months after TV favourite Freddie, who has been celibate for two years, gushed about his new romance.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Freddie said: “I’ve recently become single, which I was completely heartbroken.
“I really felt I found my person, it turns out he’s not my knight in shining armour… he’s a p**** dressed in tinfoil.
“My hearts full again, I’ve recovered from it, I’ve healed and I’m back dating which is really nice, I’m so happy.
“It’s too early but I hope I’ll carry on dating on the show.
“We were really happy and content, the fella I was speaking to at the time was travelling in Thailand and I found out while he was out there, he slept with someone.
“It’s not ideal, we were exclusive. If I’m sleeping with someone, you don’t sleep with someone else.
“I respect myself so much.
“The reason I fell for him, was because I was celibate for two-and-a-half years, that’s a long time.”
Despite the split, Freddie said he holds no grudges and has thrown himself back into the dating world after learning a few lessons.
“But I have a lot to thank him for. I have this new self-confidence, especially when it comes to dating, that’s where my confidence was lacking,” he shared.
“The geezers I’m going on dates now are unbelivable.
“I’m very cautious and I’m going to protect my energy, I’m only looking for 10/10.
“I am ready to settle down but it has to be Mr Right.”
Back in November, Freddie revealed that he had met someone new that had swept him off his feet.
The Essex lad told us at the time: “I’m currently dating someone which is going really well.
“You might recognise the guy – he’s been on TV before. It’s very early days but I’m very content.
“It’s a secret at the moment, I don’t want to spoil anything.
“It’s very early days, when you’re in the industry you get a lot of pressure looking in. At this moment in time, I’m keeping it to myself.”
Freddie has confirmed that he will be returning for the new series as the cast head to Bali.
He shared: “The thing with me, I’m very good at putting on a brave face.
“Where I am so confident, people always think I’m okay. But Junaid and the girls were really there to support me.”
