Pro-Life Group Launches Campaign in 26 States to Save Babies From Abortion
Students for Life Action (SFLAction) launched Jan. 6 a major lobbying effort in 26 states as part of its “Make America Pro-Life Again” Roadmap.
The initiative, which kicked off in Montana, aims to promote legislation that protects preborn children, addresses the dangers of chemical abortion pills, and advocates for environmental and public health safeguards. The Roadmap also includes promoting family-centered measures, such as expanded paid leave and child tax credits, as part of its framework for implementing life-saving policies.
Chanel Jacobs, vice president of political affairs for SFLAction, called attention to the critical need for state-level efforts following the 2024 election cycle.

“As state legislative sessions begin, the Pro-Life Generation calls on all elected leaders to protect life in law and in service, especially in light of the loss of the most pro-abortion, Presidential ticket in U.S. history,” Jacobs said. “Legislation related to the number one method and means of abortion – Chemical Abortion Pills – need special attention, as women, the preborn, and even the environment face risks from the deadly pills.”
The passage of pro-abortion constitutional amendments in several states poses challenges. However, Jacobs expressed confidence in the path forward.
“As the abortion ballot referendums showed, there are so many lives yet to be saved, and with the ‘Make America Pro-Life Again’ Roadmap, our legislative strategy and messaging will engage and embolden state leaders to stand up for the preborn in tangible ways,” Jacobs said. “Bills protecting life at conception, ending chemical abortion, and protecting water provide a framework for life-saving policy.”
The organization’s efforts focus on introducing Life at Conception bills, defunding Planned Parenthood, and tackling the environmental consequences of chemical abortion waste, like wastewater contamination.
Additionally, SFLAction plans to support the Chemical Abortion Prevention Act, which seeks to hold the FDA accountable and address health risks associated with abortion pills.
