India should build foundational models for AI, but investment is real entry barrier: Nadella

India can use artificial intelligence to do great work in the area of Indic languages and transform its industries, said Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella, on his second day at Microsoft India AI Tour. He also said that academics in India, the research institutions, including Microsoft Research, have a very fantastic math team and algorithms team.
