Bad Bunny Wants to Read You the News
Perhaps you no longer watch your local news broadcast every morning, but Bad Bunny would like to change that. On the heels of his sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos — a love letter to his homeland of Puerto Rico and its diaspora — the reggaeton star made a surprise appearance on Puerto Rican news channel NotiCentro al Amanecer Tuesday morning. Suited up like a freshly graduated broadcast journalism major, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio made his debut as an anchorman on the news desk.

Bad Bunny is obviously a multitalented guy: He’s one of the biggest global superstars making music at the moment, is especially adept at posting risqué selfies, and knows how to rock the hell out of a backless suit. But as of this week, Benito can also add “very sexy newscaster” to his résumé. During his time live on the air, Bad Bunny reported current events straight to camera without breaking character, stacked his little papers on the news desk, made an attempt at explaining the weather, and took a shot of Pitorro de Coco (also the name of a song off the album) with the rest of the anchor team. Later sitting for a proper interview, he also discussed the self-directed short film he released to accompany Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which stars acclaimed Puerto Rican filmmaker Jacobo Morales and addresses the rapid gentrification of their homeland.
