Nippon Steel Stands Firm on a US Steel Takeover

TOKYO — Nippon Steel was standing firm on its proposed $15 billion acquisition of U.S. Steel, Chief Executive Eiji Hashimoto said after President Joe Biden blocked the steelmaker’s move.
