NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Prosecutors have found “additional criminal conduct” by Mayor Eric Adams since his historic indictment in September 2024, according to new court filings.

The alleged new crimes were revealed Monday in court documents filed by prosecutors with Manhattan’s U.S. attorney’s office. It’s a response to a request from Adams’ legal team for the government to provide more information on his charges.

“Although the Indictment and discovery provide Adams with more than sufficient information as to his alleged co-conspirators and aiders and abettors, law enforcement has continued to identify additional individuals involved in Adams’s conduct, and to uncover additional criminal conduct by Adams,” prosecutors said.

Adams’ lawyer, Alex Spiro, said the filing is just a grab for attention.

“This is amateur hour. They are just looking for a headline instead of doing the right thing. I assume we are at the point where New Yorkers are not falling for it,” Spiro said in a statement to PIX11 News.

Adams was indicted in September on charges including bribery, solicitation of a contribution by a foreign national and wire fraud. The charges stem from a federal investigation into his 2021 mayoral campaign.

Prosecutors accuse the mayor of accepting illegal campaign donations as early as his time as Brooklyn borough president, and knowingly soliciting and accepting money from Turkish government officials, according to prosecutors.
