Coaching institute dupes JEE students of Rs 3 crore in Thane city; 8 officials booked

Police have registered a criminal case against eight officials of a coaching institute for allegedly cheating JEE students out of more than Rs 3 crore in Thane. Some students filed a complaint after the institute abruptly closed and misused collected fees. Around 80 victims have been identified so far. A probe is underway.
