Snow totals in NYC, NJ: How much has fallen

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Snow has begun accumulating in New York City and around the tri-state area on Monday.

A storm is bringing snow to portions of the region. Here are snow totals in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut as of 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

  • Central Park, Manhattan: 0.5 inch
  • John F. Kennedy International Airport, Queens: 0.3 inch
  • LaGuardia Airport, Queens: 0.2 inch
  • Islip, New York: 0.1 inch
  • Newark, New Jersey: 0.6 inch
  • Bridgeport, Connecticut: 0.3 inch

The highest snow totals were expected in the southwest part of the tri-state region, according to the National Weather Service. Less than an inch of snow was expected in most places.

Central New Jersey was expected to receive 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation. Farther south, 2 to 4 inches were expected for areas south of Toms River in Ocean County.

The higher accumulations will be limited to southern New Jersey. Six to 8 inches will be possible for areas south of Atlantic City into Delaware.
