Demi Moore Stirs Controversy With Kylie Jenner Snub at Golden Globes
Fresh off of her first Golden Globe win, Demi Moore has found herself in hot water after “snubbing” Kylie Jenner at the awards ceremony, according to some internet sleuths.
The controversy stems from a 25-second clip taken shortly after Moore’s emotional speech following her first Golden Globe win, for her role in The Substance. The video, posted to the Golden Globes’ official TikTok account, shows Moore approaching A Complete Unknown star Elle Fanning, who was sitting next to Jenner and her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, who was nominated for playing Bob Dylan in the film. Moore exchanges words with Fanning, then moves past Jenner and has a similar exchange with Chalamet before walking away from the table.

Many viewers took Moore to task for her perceived rudeness, though some rushed to the star’s defense. “Don’t like how she ignored Kylie, talked to the other two girls, and hopped right over her to talk to Timothée,” one TikTok user opined. “Don’t like the cattiness! Kylie was clearly trying to congratulate.”
Some took it harder than others. “This says way more about Ms. Moore than it could ever suggest about Kylie!” someone wrote in all caps on X (formerly Twitter). But another X user pushed back: “I don’t think it’s that deep, I think she was just talking to the actors and she acknowledged Kylie.”
Indeed, Jenner can be seen trying to get Moore’s attention while the veteran actor speaks with Fanning and Chalamet. Early on in the conversation, it appears Jenner tells Moore “congrats” before Moore briefly turns her head towards her, but the audio is unclear. It would be peculiar for Moore to completely ignore the influencer considering that she liked and twice reposted Jenner’s saucy 2024 Halloween costume inspired by her character in the 1996 film Striptease.
Jenner skipped the red carpet but was glimpsed throughout the awards show cozily situated next to Chalamet. It’s the second Golden Globes ceremony the two have attended as a couple after last year’s telecast, where Chalamet was nominated for his role in Wonka.
