Biology in space unlocked by ISRO, payload grows cowpea leaves

Indian Space Research Organisation said it can demonstrate biology in space by sprouting cowpea in a microgravity environment, highlighting long-duration mission potential. The VSSC's CROPS module monitored plant growth parameters to understand plant adaptation to microgravity and develop life support systems. Additionally, ISRO postponed the SpaDeX mission's in-space docking to January 9.
