MP administration offers discounts on groceries, schools & hospitals for parents of only daughters to improve sex ratio

Parents of only daughters in Harda district, Madhya Pradesh, are offered discounts on various services and purchases through the 'Revashakti' scheme. The scheme, launched on January 1, provides barcoded 'Keerti' cards to eligible parents. So far, 638 parents have joined. Discounts are available at grocery stores, private schools, hospitals, and more, aiming to improve the district's sex ratio.
