New York City becomes first in U.S. to impose congestion pricing in effort to reduce traffic

Drivers entering Manhattan’s busiest neighborhoods will now have to pay up to $9 in congestion charges during peak hours, as New York City’s first-in-the-nation congestion pricing officially launched on Sunday.
