AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A north Austin apartment caught fire Sunday afternoon in the 11500 block of Metric Boulevard, according to the Austin Fire Department. This is located near the intersection of West Braker Lane and Metric Boulevard.
AFD said the fire was reported to be on the second floor of a three-story apartment building.

The agency said the fire was upgraded to a second alarm at 3:12 p.m., meaning more fire crews were sent to the scene.
At around 4:07 p.m., the fire was upgraded to a third alarm, according to AFD.
The agency said at 4:17 p.m. that the fire is now under control. Multiple pets were rescued from the fire.
