Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport - The Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Mandate has officially come into force, making the UK among the first countries globally to enshrine it in law. Following 1 January announcement, the UK has set an ambitious target requiring 10 of all jet fuel to be sustainable by 2030. The initiative, part of the governmentmp;#39;s green aviation strategy, will utilise sources such as household waste and cooking oil to produce SAF. SAF generates 70 less carbon than traditional fossil fuels on average. By law, this fuel must constitute at least 2 of all jet fuel for UK departures from 2025....
