APD seeking public help to find 'Lotz of BBQ' food truck theft suspects
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department is seeking public help to find two suspects wanted in connection with a Lotz of BBQ food truck trailer theft, the agency said in a news release Friday.
The alleged theft happened on Dec. 26 in the 3400 block of Comsouth Drive in southeast Austin, according to police.
Police said the suspect was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck, which was described by police as two-toned with dark green metallic with a gold/tan color. That truck was used to latch and haul the food truck trailer.
Anyone who has any information on the theft can contact APD's Auto Theft unit at 512-974-5265. Tipsters can also submit an anonymous tip via the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program website or by calling 512-472-8477. Police said a reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information that could lead to an arrest.
