Chilean president sets out on rare trip to South Pole

SANTIAGO: Chilean President Gabriel Boric on Friday embarked on a trip to the South Pole, a rare endeavor for a head of state that could end with him becoming the first leader in the Americas to reach the Earth’s southernmost point.
