PLI scheme for select speciality steels may be relaxed further

India plans to ease conditions in the production-linked incentive scheme for speciality steels. This includes lowering investment and plant size requirements for cold rolled grain-oriented (CRGO) projects. The aim is to boost local CRGO steel production, reduce import dependency, and support the expanding power sector, particularly with the integration of renewable energy.
