Govt cuts gas allocation for LPG, diverts to city gas retailers

The government redirects low-cost natural gas from LPG production to CNG/piped cooking gas to counter rising CNG prices. This adjustment involves GAIL and ONGC using more expensive gas sources while city gas retailers, including IGL and Adani-Total Gas, may benefit from increased supply by mid-January.
