Budget 2025 Wishlist: Financial sector seeks tax sops, steps to deepen financial markets

Union budget: Bank representatives and financial sector stakeholders suggested tax incentives for fixed deposits in the upcoming Budget to encourage savings. Additional proposals included improving capital market efficiency and incentivising long-term saving. The NBFC sector proposed a refinance window for green finance and electric vehicles.
