IIT-Guwahati develops injectable hydrogel for targeted breast cancer therapy with less side effects

Researchers at IIT Guwahati and Bose Institute, Kolkata, have created an advanced injectable hydrogel for localized cancer treatment. This hydrogel precisely delivers anti-cancer drugs directly to tumor sites, reducing systemic side effects. Preliminary tests on a breast cancer murine model showed significant tumor reduction with controlled drug release.
