We’re back at Easter Road for our final game of 2024 - read the full match preview for our game against Kilmarnock below!

THE LOWDOWN

It’s a sell-out crowd at Easter Road on Sunday 29 December thanks to the Club’s ‘Festive Football for a Fiver’ initiative!

David Gray’s side come into this game as one of the most in-form sides in the William Hill Premiership.

The Hibees have won four of their last five league outings, and have only been beaten once since the end of November.

In their last outing they put in a determined performance and beat Hearts 2-1 at Tynecastle.

An own goal from Kye Rowles and a lovely finish from Dwight Gayle sealed all three points, in what was our first win at Tynecastle since Boxing Day 2019.

That win meant Hibs have now won three consecutive league games for the first time since 3 December 2023.

Following the Boxing Day fixtures, Hibs now sit 7th in the league table with 21 points from 19 games, and are five points off the top six.

TEAM NEWS

Both Mykola Kuharevich and Rudi Molotnikov are being monitored closely ahead of the match against Kilmarnock.

The game will come too soon for both Marvin Ekpiteta and Kieron Bowie.

THE VISITORS

Kilmarnock currently sit 8th in the William Hill Premiership table and are only behind Hibs on goal difference.

Derek McInnes’ side come into the game off the back of a magnificent performance against Aberdeen, running out 4-0 victors at Rugby Park, thanks to goals from Kyle Vassell, David Watson, Innes Cameron and Bruce Anderson.

Killie are unbeaten in their last four league outings having beaten Aberdeen and Hearts, and drawn with Dundee United and Motherwell.

Away from home this season, McInnes’ men have won two of their 11 matches, beating Hearts and Dundee on their travels.

The last time the two sides met earlier this season it ended in a 1-1 draw.

Joe Newell opened the scoring for the Hibees with a cross-come-shot, before Bruce Anderson equalised in injury time from the penalty spot.
