Seasonably colder and sunny weather to start the New Year

Happy New Year Acadiana! Much colder but typical temperatures are back in Acadiana for the start of 2025. Most of the area is starting off in the lower 40s, followed by highs into the lower 60s under mostly sunny skies. Northerly winds will stay light throughout the day. Lows return to around 40° tonight too.

Clouds and a few showers are possible tomorrow. A very strong cold front is set to move through Acadiana late Sunday. Scattered storms are expected along with a threat for severe weather. An artic blast of air could last through much of next week.
