Telecom industry posts 6.75 per cent AGR Growth in Q2 FY25 driven by tariff hikes, data surge

The telecom industry experienced 6.75% growth in AGR, reaching Rs 75,310 crore for the July-September 2025 quarter due to tariff hikes and higher data usage. Monthly ARPU from wireless services rose 9.60% to Rs 172.57. The internet user base slightly increased to 971.50 million. License fees collected by the DoT also climbed to Rs 6,023 crore.
