UPI transactions in December rise 8% on month, 39% on year

The value of these transactions totalled Rs 23.25 lakh crore, compared with Rs 21.55 lakh crore in the previous month, according to data released by NPCI on January 1. According to NPCI data, the Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) that allows users to transfer funds real time between banks recorded 441 million transactions in December, amounting to Rs 6.02 lakh crore.
