Man fatally shot in Roseland

A man was shot to death Tuesday afternoon in Roseland on the Far South Side.

The man, 38, was in the 11000 block of South State Street when someone got out of a white SUV and shot at him about 2:50 p.m., Chicago police said.

The man was struck in the head and twice in the chest, police said. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

His name hasn't been released.

The shooter got back in the vehicle and was seen driving south on State Street.

No arrests were made.
