I gave my grey, bland bedroom a total transformation with B&Q & Dunelm buys – now it’s warm & tranquil & I’m delighted
A DIY enthusiast has revealed that she gave her grey, bland bedroom a mega makeover without breaking the bank.
So if you’re on a budget as a result of the cost of living crisis and are looking to give your pad a freshen up on the cheap, then you’ve come to the right place.
Using bargain buys from B&Q, Dunelm and TikTok Shop, Leah Fryett, who is from the UK, was able to turn her bedroom from drab to fab in no time at all – yes, you heard that correctly.
Keen to show off her bedroom overhaul, Leah took to social media to share a before and after look at the room, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Leah posted a picture of her bedroom prior to its transformation, followed by images and a video of her now breathtaking abode.
Alongside her post, she penned: “From grey and bland to warm, cosy and tranquil!”
Leah confirmed that she used affordable wallpaper and paint, which she nabbed from B&Q, to add style to the space.
She painted the walls using a Dulux Matt paint in the shade of Egyptian Cotton and nabbed purse-friendly wallpaper from the B&Q Good Home range.
Not only this, but she bought her curtains, tie backs and tie hooks from Dunelm, in a 50% off sale.
And if that wasn’t enough, she got her beautiful bed from TikTok shop.
What was once a very plain, grey space, has now been totally transformed and is a bedroom of dreams.
Not only is it something you’d expect to see in a posh interior magazine, with a stunning bed, eye-catching wallpaper and cosy carpet, but it’s been furnished with style too.
To complete the room, Leah added a mirrored wardrobe, a stunning chandelier and beautiful bedside tables.
We think Leah’s bedroom transformation is incredibly impressive, considering her attempt to keep the costs low.
