Why demolition of a Pigeon feeding spot is creating a flutter in Delhi

The Public Works Department removed a traffic island at the entrance of Chittaranjan Park where people fed pigeons due to health concerns. Local MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj stated that the area would be redesigned as a regular road divider. Despite the risks, some locals continued feeding the pigeons out of habit and religious beliefs.
