The Pioneer Woman Just Revealed Her Most Popular Recipe of 2024 & It's a Comforting Dish That Takes 15 Minutes to Prep

It turns out, everyone is making the same thing for dinner — and we don’t blame them one bit. Ree Drummond (aka, The Pioneer Woman; aka, our easy and delicious recipe queen!) just shared a 2024 roundup of her top 10 most popular recipes, and it’s no surprise that one of our absolute favorites topped the list. This yummy chicken dinner is full of creamy and spicy flavor, and with a prep time of just 15 minutes, it’ll quickly find a spot on your regular dinner rotation. (I can’t even tell you how many times my family has eaten this exact recipe this year!)

Many delightful Pioneer Woman recipes are on the Favorite New Pioneer Woman Recipes of 2024 list, including her Beef Noodle Casserole and her No-Bake Strawberry Cheesecake. But the number-one most popular is her Marry Me Chicken! It’s “creamy and comforting,” according to Drummond, and even though she’s already married, we can’t help falling in love with her for this delicious dish!

There are just 15 minutes of prep time and 30 minutes total in this flavorful recipe, with a sauce that “is absolutely dream-worthy,” according to Drummond. Start with four boneless, skinless chicken breast, which you will slice horizontally for eight cutlets. Coat the cutlets in flour from a shallow dish, then cook four cutlets at a time on a large skillet with butter and oil.

Once that’s done, add onion, red pepper flakes, and other ingredients in the pan, plus sun-dried tomatoes, and more. Add the chicken back to the simmering sauce that’ll thicken as it cooks. Finally, heavy cream and parmesan go in along with a few other ingredients to complete the heavenly dish.

Serve it with a starch and a veggie, like mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli or pasta and grilled asparagus. (And don’t forget to add a sprinkle of more parmesan cheese on top!)

Many satisfied home chefs reported back after making this recipe in the comments. “A total hit for my family. Easy to follow the recipe and the results were true to expectation,” one person wrote.

“I tried this recipe last night and it was sooooo delicious!” someone else said. “Never had chicken breast taste sooo moist, tender, and flavorful! The sauce is to die for and the prep time is absolutely fitting for my busy schedule!”

Others noted that while this recipe is “delicious,” it took them closer to an hour to complete from start to finish. So maybe try it out on an evening you have more time to see exactly how long it takes for you!
