Wall Street to close on Jan 9 to honor President Jimmy Carter

U.S. stock exchanges will close on Thursday, January 9 in observation of a national day of mourning for former President Jimmy Carter, who passed away at 100. The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq announced closures, and the bond market will close early at 2:00 p.m. ET.
